Visually stunning and entertaining, this might be one of my favorite coloring books that I own.
Unlike most of the the coloring books that I've seen and own, The Night Voyage is actually an illustrated story about a little girl's magical journey around the globe as she shares gifts with others before her birthday. Each stunning image adds to the story and is so inviting. It's a pleasure to add some color to these magical and beautiful images to help bring the story to life, but I almost am afraid of messing up a page or ruining the image and story with my inept coloring skills. There are several images that I would love to see as fold-outs or posters. A few would even work better as fold-outs as some images are cut in half as they are spread over two pages.
Nevertheless, this is still a beautiful book that I would highly recommend. This was my first book by Daria Song, but I can guarantee it won't be my last and I look forward to the many hours I'll spend immersing myself in the world created in these pages.
